2 key information to create a web3 portfolio with Metamask:  

👉 By creating a metamask account, you have a public address that you can think of as the equivalent of a RIB in the traditional banking system.

We need you to provide us with your public address to send you your Founder NFT.

👉 You also have a secret phrase: make sure to keep it safe and never share it. This secret phrase allows you to retrieve your password in case you forget it, but also to connect to your wallet from a new device.

Here are the steps to create a Metamask account:

👉 Install Chrome or another browser that supports the Metamask extension

👉 Download the Metamask chrome extension here

👉 Click on "start" to begin the process of creating your wallet

👉 Click on "I agree."

👉 Click on "Create my portfolio."

👉Choose a secure password, accept the Terms of Use and click "Create".

⚠ We recommend that you use a unique password that you do not use on other sites. Also, be sure to write this password down on paper and store it in a secure place to avoid any risk of hacking.

Example: storing your password on an icloud note is absolutely not secure. Choose a paper that you keep warm :)

👉 Take the time to watch the video + read the tips on the right. Then click on "Next."

👉 Reveal your secret phrase and write it down on a piece of paper

⚠ We do not recommend downloading the key to your computer if you do not have a hard drive or encrypted external storage media

👉 Click on "Next."

👉 Put the words back in order to confirm your mnemonic phrase

To perform the operation, you need to click on each word and they will be added in the dialog box just above.

👉 Once the operation is done, click on "Continue"

👉 Then click on "Done."

👉 To make using Metamask easier, you can click on "Extensions 🧩" and pin your metamask to your browser.

Now that Metamask is installed, we will see how to connect the Polygon network to your metamask

By default, Metamask creates an address on Ethereum. The Polygon network is complementary to Ethereum. Clearly, polygon works on the Ethereum blockchain and therefore your public address is the same for both networks.

👉 Click on "Main Ether Network..."

👉 Click on "Add a network."

👉 Click on "Manually add a network."

👉 Add the network information and then click "Save."

Network Information:

Name of the network: Polygon

New RPC URL: https://rpc-mainnet.matic.network

Channel ID: 137

Currency symbol: MATIC

URL of the block explorer: https: //polygonscan.com/

👉 Click on "Got it."

👉 To navigate between your different networks, click on "Polygon" at the top right...

👉 Then choose the network you want

👉 To view your portfolio activity, click on "Portfolio Site". This will allow you to view your holdings and the list of transactions.

Now that the Ethereum network and the Polygon network are on your wallet, here is how to share your public address

You have a public address, which you can think of as the equivalent of a RIB in the traditional banking system. In other words, this public address is used to send you your Founder's NFT.

👉 Click on "Account" to copy your public address.

👉 Your address is now copied and you can paste it by pressing ctrl+V (computer) or cmd+V (mac).
